Lay Summary
TUDA data is contributing to the BOOMERANG project, which explores how B-vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids may work together to protect brain health and slow cognitive decline. Building on findings from TUDA and baseline data from existing RCTs (OptiAge, BrainHOP), researchers will combine large-scale data with a new clinical trial to investigate how this nutrient combination affects brain ageing. This research aims to develop affordable and practical strategies to help prevent dementia and support healthy ageing. Findings may also help shape future dietary and health guidelines.
